Closed, but visit the site for impressions of the new exhibits. At Museum Staphorst, visitors are introduced to the colorful culture of the Staphorst municipality. The museum is divided into a number of rooms decorated in a typical Staphorst manner. The old living quarters show how people used to live. The barn, where cattle were stabled, is furnished as an exhibition area. The regional costume, jewelry and folk art have an important place here. On the second floor are temporary exhibitions. Also available at the museum are guided tours, clothing presentations and a workshop in Staphorster Stipwerk.

Museum Staphorst offers visitors a glimpse into the traditional culture and history of Staphorst, a town known for its conservative Protestant community and distinctive customs. The museum showcases local artifacts, traditional costumes, and historical exhibits that reflect the unique heritage of the area. Visitors appreciate the well-preserved items and informative displays about Staphorst's religious background and rural lifestyle. The museum is relatively small but provides a comprehensive overview of the local culture. Some visitors note that while the exhibits are interesting, they may be more engaging for those with a specific interest in Dutch rural history or religious communities. The museum staff is generally described as friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience for many guests. However, some reviewers mention that more English translations would be helpful for international visitors. Overall, Museum Staphorst offers an authentic and educational experience, though it may not appeal to all tourists equally.
