MOTI, Museum of the Image is housed in the Oude Mannenhuis, which has long served as a care home. It is a museum of visual culture. The diverse collection includes film, photography, design, fashion, art, gaming, science and architecture. The collection illustrates the story of visual culture and shows the dynamic world of image. On 1 January 2017, MOTI merged with Breda's Museum to become Stedelijk Museum Breda.

    Het is inmiddels weer een tijdje geleden dat ik dit museum bezocht heb, maar de tentoonstelling die destijds te zien was ('Born digital', over de generatie die opgegroeid is met Windows 95, internet en mp3-spelers) was bijzonder interessant. De vele interactieve kunstwerken waren leuk voor jong en oud. Het was ook een erg bijzondere ervaring om voor het eerst met virtual reality in aanraking te komen (middels een Oculus Rift). Hier kom ik zeker snel weer terug, want ook de expositie 'Planet Hype' zou ik graag willen zien!
