The Alsatian Seal Museum and the Museum of Folk Arts and Traditions are two adjacent establishments located in La Petite-Pierre, in the Bas-Rhin department. These museums house extensive collections of seals, heraldry, and series of old cake molds and castings. Founded by the sigillographer Charles Haudot, these museums offer a unique insight into the medieval history of Alsace and Europe through numerous and faithful reproductions of seals designed during this period.
The Alsatian Seal Museum
The Alsatian Seal Museum, founded by the sigillographer Charles Haudot, is located within the Saint-Louis Chapel. Established at the end of the 1970s, the museum showcases numerous seals, banners, and coats of arms, which are witnesses of the past.
