The Museum of Sacred Art of the Nicolás Darío Latourrette Bo Foundation is a unique cultural institution located in Asunción, Paraguay. It houses a collection of Hispanic-Guarani Baroque sacred art sculpture pieces, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich artistic heritage of the region.
The Museum of Sacred Art is situated in Villa Lina, an eclectic style building from the early 20th century. It is located at the corner of Manuel Domínguez and Paraguari streets on the heights of Cerro Antequera, one of the seven hills of Asunción. This location offers a unique view of the city and adds to the overall experience of visiting the museum.
Inaugurated on March 24, 2010, and opened to the public three days later, the Museum of Sacred Art houses 97 works from the Collection of the Nicolás Darío Latourrette Bo Foundation. This collection, comprising more than 700 pieces, is considered one of the largest and most important private collections of Guaraní Baroque sacred art from the 17th and 18th centuries in the world.
