The Museum of Carpet in Kidderminster, England, offers visitors an informative look into the town's carpet-making heritage. Located in a former carpet factory, the museum provides a comprehensive overview of the industry's history and its impact on Kidderminster. Exhibits showcase various carpet-making techniques, from traditional hand-looming to modern machine production. Many visitors appreciate the working looms on display, which demonstrate the intricate process of carpet weaving. The museum's collection of historical carpets and related artifacts is generally well-received, giving insight into changing designs and styles over time. Interactive elements and hands-on activities are available, which can be engaging for both adults and children. Some reviewers note that the museum is relatively small and can be thoroughly explored in a couple of hours. While the subject matter may not appeal to everyone, those with an interest in industrial history or textiles often find the experience rewarding. The staff is frequently praised for their knowledge and enthusiasm. However, some visitors mention that certain areas of the museum could benefit from updates or more modern presentation techniques. Despite this, the Museum of Carpet is generally viewed as a worthwhile attraction for those looking to understand an important aspect of Kidderminster's industrial past.

We took two parties of school children to the Museum of Carpet this week. The children had an amazing time stepping back in history and learning about their local area. The staff and volunteers were very well prepared for our visit and most enthusiastic. I would recommend this visit to other local schools and families with children.
