Museum Of Boulder and its collection

The Museum of Boulder, previously known as the Boulder History Museum, is a private, nonprofit institution dedicated to preserving and showcasing the local history of Boulder, Colorado. It is operated by the Boulder Historical Society and is a significant cultural landmark in the city.

New Location and Renovation of the Museum

In April 2013, the Museum of Boulder acquired the Masonic Lodge building at Broadway and Pine for $2.45 million. The building underwent renovations starting in 2017, and the newly refurbished Museum opened its doors to the public on May 19, 2018.

Collections and Collaborations of the Museum

The Museum of Boulder collaborates with the Boulder Carnegie Library to preserve a vast collection of over 900,000 historic photographs and documents. Additionally, the museum houses a collection of over 45,000 historical artifacts, offering visitors a comprehensive insight into the history of Boulder.
