The Museum of Ancient Seafaring houses a variety of exhibits that provide a comprehensive insight into the maritime history of the Roman era. These include remains of five Roman warships from the 4th century, full-size replicas, a fragment of a barge, numerous ship reliefs and stone monuments. Additionally, models and display boards offer further information about ancient shipbuilding, construction techniques, and Roman fleet operations in the Germanic provinces and throughout the empire.
Interactive Workshop at the Museum
The Museum of Ancient Seafaring also features a workshop where visitors can observe the staff as they craft models of ancient ships. This interactive experience provides a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of ancient shipbuilding.
