After undergoing renovation and expansion, the Rondon Museum of Ethnology and Archaeology reopened on October 10, 2016. The museum now features a long-term exhibition titled 'Ethnic and Cultural Diversity in Mato Grosso'. Additionally, the museum houses an auditorium that can accommodate 100 people, a Technical Reserve, and administrative offices. The museum also hosts the Social Anthropology Master's Program (PPGAS/UFMT) at its headquarters.
