Museo Naturalistico degli Alburni Corleto Monforte

The Alburni Naturalistic Museum, established in 1997, is situated in a historic building in the center of Corleto Monforte. It is nestled at the foot of the Alburni Mountains, in the heart of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park. The Alburni Naturalistic Museum houses a diverse collection of European fauna, displayed in various permanent sections. The collection is particularly rich in bird specimens, with about 1200 European species represented. In addition, the museum showcases over 60 species of mammals, Mediterranean decapods, and more than 20,000 insect specimens. This extensive collection provides a comprehensive overview of the region's biodiversity.
