The Municipal Museum and Interpretation Center “El Charrúa” is situated in the town of Aluminé, in the Neuquén Province. The museum is housed in the former "El Charrúa" Estancia and was opened to the public on December 1, 2015. The official inauguration of the museum was celebrated later on October 20, 2016.
The museum offers three permanent tours. The first tour, "Operation and daily life of a local estancia", provides insights into the life of the estancia with its agricultural and livestock activities. The second tour, "A journey to the past of the territory", narrates the historical events of the Aluminé department through various exhibits. The third tour, "Walk through the exterior grounds", allows visitors to explore the museum's large green space, which is home to a variety of birds and features a French-style garden.
