Museo della Fisarmonica

The International Accordion Museum is a music-themed museum situated in Castelfidardo, a city globally recognized for its accordion construction. This city belongs to the old District of Musical Instruments of Castelfidardo – Loreto – Recanati, making it a significant hub for music enthusiasts and historians alike. The museum is a part of the Museum System Association of the province of Ancona, further establishing its cultural and historical significance.

Post-Restoration Museum Structure and Collection

Following the 2020 restoration, the museum now consists of seven thematic rooms and about 130 pieces on display, which rotate with the 500 total pieces in the collection. In addition to accordions, the collection includes precursor instruments such as a rare Chinese Sheng and a Harmoniflûte from 1856. These exhibits provide a comprehensive overview of the accordion's history and its evolution over the years.

Visitor Experience and Accessibility Features

The museum is equipped with seven video guides that present the museum and its collection. These guides are available in LIS, with subtitles in English and accompanied by music. Additionally, the museum has three panels that can be read via smartphone and three audio-only files in MP3 or WAW format. These features enhance the visitor experience, making the museum accessible and engaging for a wide range of audiences.
