The Desert Museum, located in Saltillo, Coahuila, is an institution that fosters an ecological culture. The museum, which was designed by architect Francisco López Guerra, was officially opened to the public on November 25, 1999.
The Desert Museum boasts a vast collection of fossils and plants, as well as indigenous animals of the Mexican desert. This collection provides a unique insight into the biodiversity of the region.
The Desert Museum also showcases dinosaurs that once inhabited the region, including Isauria, Sabinasaurio, Quetzalcoatlus, and a 17-meter long, five-meter high Tyrannosaurus rex. Additionally, the museum features interactive displays about recent paleontological discoveries in the region.
