Collection of the Museum

The Museo degli Alpini houses a variety of artifacts from the First World War, primarily sourced from the Asiago plateau, Monte Grappa, and private donations. Visitors to the museum can view a range of items including helmets, bombs, shrapnel, and barbed wire. Additionally, the museum features vintage photos, manuscripts, and some of the sheets that the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio threw over the city of Vienna during his propaganda action in August 1918, an event known as the flight over Vienna.

The Museo degli Alpini is spread over two underground floors, which can be accessed through the Taverna degli Alpini. Inside the museum, visitors will find 29 display cases, each containing specific objects and material.
