The Museo de Arte de Almería is a public municipal museum situated in the city of Almería, in the province of Andalusia, Spain. The museum is dedicated to showcasing Contemporary Almerian Art, with collections spanning from the 19th century to the present day. The Museo de Arte de Almería is divided into two distinct locations. The first, Museo de Arte Doña Pakyta, houses Almerian art from the period 1880 to 1970. The second location, known as Museo de Arte de Almería - Espacio 2, showcases Almerian art from 1980 to the present day. This division allows visitors to explore the progression of Almerian art over different periods.
The permanent collection of the Museo de Arte de Almería is divided into seven rooms, each dedicated to a different period or style of Almerian art. This includes 19th-century Almerian painting, Realism and Academicism, International Avant-gardes, the Indaliano Movement, and artists linked to the Indaliano Movement.
