The Archaeological Museum of Abengibre is situated in the town of Abengibre, Spain, approximately 45 kilometers from the capital. It is located on the second floor of the Town Hall, in an area known as La Manchuela. This location makes it easily accessible for tourists visiting the region.
The collection at the Archaeological Museum of Abengibre is structured into four historical contexts. The most significant part of the museum showcases materials from the Bronze Age and Iron Age. Visitors can view a variety of items, including weapons, personal adornments, ceramics, and a reproduction of a tumular tomb. This layout provides a chronological understanding of the region's history.
Among the most important pieces in the collection of the Archaeological Museum of Abengibre are the reproductions of the Iberian Dishware found in Vallejo, also known as the Plates of Abengibre or Treasure of Abengibre. These are a careful reproduction, in silver, of eight of the dishes displayed in the National Archaeological Museum. These reproductions offer a unique insight into the Iberian period.
