The Museo Civico di Bevagna, which was inaugurated in 1996 in the ground floor of Palazzo Lepri, expanded to the entire building from 2008. This expansion significantly enriched the knowledge of the history of Bevagna and its territory, especially for the period from the 16th to the 18th century. The museum houses a large number of paintings from this period, featuring works by renowned artists such as Andrea Camassei, Ascensidonio Spacca, Dono Doni, and Corrado Giaquinto.
The Museo Civico di Bevagna consists of a picture gallery and an archaeological collection. The works on display were created between 1550 and 1750, offering a wide testimony of the artistic production and local devotion. The first collection was formed following the incorporation of ecclesiastical goods decided by the newborn Italian State in 1860. Subsequently, other works from the churches of the territory and donations from private individuals were added.
