In 1988, the house was opened as a cultural center offering workshops in drawing, painting, music, and theater. The decision was later made to transform the house into a museum in honor of General Álvaro Obregón Salido. Today, the museum continues to serve as a cultural hub, offering a variety of educational and artistic activities for visitors.
One of the key exhibits at the Museo Casa del General Álvaro Obregón is a 1927 Cadillac, the last car that belonged to General Obregón. This car holds historical significance as it was the vehicle in which he was attacked on September 13, 1927. The car is preserved in a specially constructed cubicle, allowing visitors to view this important piece of history.
The Museo Casa del General Álvaro Obregón is divided into several rooms, each dedicated to a different aspect of the revolution and Obregón's life and presidency. This layout allows visitors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the historical context and the significant role that Obregón played in Mexican history.
