The Archaeological Museum of Alicante (Museo Arqueológico Provincial de Alicante, MARQ) is an archaeological museum in Alicante with eight galleries that use multimedia to allow visitors to interact with the lives of past residents of Alicante and its region. The museum has a room of prehistory, of Iberian culture, Roman culture, Middle Ages and modern and contemporary cultures. Furthermore, there is a room dedicated to temporary exhibitions. It houses more than 81,000 objects that show the richness of the history of the Costa Blanca, and the legacy left by civilizations after their passage through the Mediterranean.
