The Hugo H. Diez Museum, located in the city of Laprida, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is the only museum in the Laprida district. It has been functioning as a community institution since 1987, stimulating participation in non-formal education in various fields such as paleontology, archaeology, history, and art. This makes it a unique destination for those interested in these areas of study.
The Hugo H. Diez Museum is home to a vast collection of over 2500 pieces of cultural and historical significance. These include more than 1500 photographs, old vehicles and machines, collections of items used in rural settings, personal use items, and fashion items from different eras. This diverse collection provides a comprehensive look into the history and culture of the region.
The Hugo H. Diez Museum is open to the public from Monday to Friday, between 2 pm and 5 pm, and on Saturdays from 3 pm to 6 pm. A guided tour is conducted at 5 pm, providing visitors with a comprehensive understanding of the exhibits. The general admission fee is $10, while children under 10 years old can enter for free when accompanied by an adult.
