Musée Eugène Aulnette

The Eugène-Aulnette Museum, nestled in the quaint town of Le Sel-de-Bretagne, pays homage to the life and works of the renowned sculptor and activist, Eugène Aulnette. Aulnette, a native of Le Sel-de-Bretagne, was a significant figure in the town, contributing not only through his artistic endeavors but also through his active participation in the community.

The Establishment and Management of the Museum

The museum, dedicated to Eugène Aulnette, was established in 2007 and underwent a renovation of its scenography in 2017. It is co-managed with the association of Friends of the Eugène Museum (AME), ensuring the preservation and promotion of Aulnette's legacy.

Exhibitions and Events at the Museum

Beyond its permanent exhibition dedicated to Eugène Aulnette, the museum also offers a diverse program of events throughout the year. It hosts temporary exhibitions that reflect Aulnette's wide range of interests, including art in all its forms, Brittany and Celticism, ecology, heritage, and global perspectives.

Visiting Hours and Reservations

The museum welcomes visitors mainly on Sunday afternoons from September to June. During the summer months of July and August, it is open every afternoon from 2:30 pm to 6 pm, except on Tuesdays. Group tours and events can also be arranged by reservation, providing a flexible schedule for visitors.
