The Museo de Mallorca is situated in the palace house of the counts of Ayamans, also known as "Ca la Gran Cristiana". This name refers to Catalina Zaforteza y de Togores, a prominent collaborator with the Mallorcan Carlism, who resided there in the 19th century. Archaeological Findings at the Museo de Mallorca
In the central courtyard of the Museo de Mallorca, archaeologists discovered the remains of what is believed to be the first Muslim house identified on the island.
