In 1999, the Schwichtenberg–Uhlenhorst section of the MPSB was reconstructed by a railway association. This section now operates as a museum, offering visitors a chance to experience the historical railway firsthand.
The museum railway operations, including the use of steam locomotives, are regularly carried out by an association. Since the commencement of these operations in 1999, the museum has transported 48,000 passengers, offering a unique historical experience.
The city museum of Friedland has a dedicated section for the MPSB, showcasing many original pieces and documents from the railway's history. Among these exhibits is a steam locomotive, providing a tangible connection to the past.
