The Motorradmuseum Heiner Beckmann is a privately run technical history museum located in the village of Greffen, Harsewinkeler, in the district of Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia. This museum offers a unique insight into the history of motorized two-wheelers and is a great place for enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
Founded in 1990 by Heiner Beckmann, the museum spans about 1000 m² in an old half-timbered farmhouse with several buildings. The exhibition includes around 180 motorized two-wheelers, with the oldest dating back to 1898 and the newest being an MZ Silver Star from the 1990s. This wide range of exhibits provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution of motorized two-wheelers.
The Motorradmuseum Heiner Beckmann is not only a museum but also the organizer of the Spökenkieker-Fahrt, a rally for motorized vehicles built before 1915. This event is the only continental European old-timer parallel event to the English London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, where only vehicles from the early days before the First World War are allowed to participate. This event adds a dynamic aspect to the museum and offers visitors a unique experience.
