The Mirabel Palace is a historic building dating back to the 15th century, located in the city of Plasencia, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. This significant civil building was declared a site of cultural interest in 1977. It was built by Álvaro de Zúñiga and Guzmán and his second wife Leonor Pimentel and Zúñiga, the first Dukes of Plasencia.
The palace features a large Renaissance courtyard, constructed over two floors with semicircular arches. The courtyard is adorned with the coats of arms of the noble house of Zúñiga-Mirabel. This architectural feature provides a glimpse into the rich history and heritage of the palace.
The palace houses a significant collection of Italian archaeological pieces from the Roman era, as well as tiles from the Monastery of Yuste. These artifacts provide a unique insight into the historical and cultural context of the region.
