The Metropolitan Police Museum was founded in 1949 and houses archives, photographs, medals, art, trophies, uniforms, equipment, truncheons and other objects. These can be accessed by police and non-police researchers at our Research Room in Sidcup by appointment on Wednesdays, whilst one-hour tours of our gallery are available on Thursdays at 11 and 2. Both need to be booked with at least a week's notice, research appointments via https://www.met.police.uk/police-forces/metropolitan-police/areas/about-us/about-the-met/met-museums-archives/contact-us/form/ and tours on https://Police-Museum-Tour.eventbrite.co.uk .
