Manistee Ranch, located in Glendale, Arizona, was established in 1897 by Herbert W. Hamilton, a native of Wisconsin. The ranch was known for its abundance of citrus fruits and dates, making it a significant agricultural site during its operational years.
All historical structures on the ranch have been restored and are currently managed by the Parks and Recreation Department of Glendale. This preservation allows visitors to experience the ranch as it was during its prime.
The Glendale Historical Society has restored the historical buildings on the property, which include a garage, office, barn, and the main house. The basement of the main house features a collection of photographs and Glendale grammar school items. Additionally, an exhibit of old farm equipment used on the ranch can be found on the main grounds.
