The Sherlock Holmes Museum in Lucens, Switzerland, is a unique destination dedicated to the work and hero of Arthur Conan Doyle. The museum houses a collection of books and objects related to Sherlock Holmes, as well as the living room of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, furnished with personal belongings of the writer.
The museum was established by the son of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who settled in the Château de Lucens in 1965. He dedicated the museum to his father's work, creating a space that immerses visitors in the world of Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle.
One of the highlights of the museum is the living room of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. This room is an exact reproduction built following the Festival of Britain in 1951, based on the detailed descriptions contained in the stories. The room contains hundreds of authentic objects, some strange and unusual, faithfully rendering the atmosphere of the stories.
