The Lucas Mansion, also known as the Hiddenite Center, is a historic home located in Hiddenite, Alexander County, North Carolina. This three-story, Queen Anne style dwelling was built around 1900 and features a two-story wraparound porch. The house was enlarged to its current size by 1928 and is said to have been enlarged twice by raising the existing floor and building a new floor beneath or between the existing floors.
In 1981, Eileen Sharpe and R.Y Sharpe purchased the Lucas Mansion and established the Hiddenite Center. The Center has since restored the first floor of the mansion with period furnishings and a collection of local gemstones and minerals.
