Many reviewers note the museum's compact size, which allows for a comprehensive viewing experience in a relatively short amount of time. The staff is generally described as friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the visitor experience. The Lowe Art is a small art museum on the campus of the University of Miami.I have visited this art museum many times in the past 43 years. I especially relish its two rooms featuring Old Master European Paintings from the Kress and Cintas Art Collections. On my last visit,I enjoyed fine devotional themes paintings by Lippo Vanni(Italian Trecento,"Madonna and Child Enthroned With Donor and Saints Dominic and Elizabeth"),Francesco Giorgio Martini(Italian Renaissance),Guidoccio Cozzarelli("Annunciation and Nativity",Italian Renaissance),Bernardino Fungai("Madonna and Child With Saints and Angels",Italian Renaissance),El Greco("Christ in the House of Simon",Counter Reformation,Baroque),Garafalo("Madonna and Child In Glory",Italian Renaissance),Guisseppe Ribera("Saint Onuphrias",marvelous Chiaroscuro),Adrien Isenbrant("Madonna and Child With Member of Hillensberger Family",Netherlandish Renaissance),Pietro Dandini("Judith with Head of Holofernes",17th Century Mannerist Painting),Giacinto Diana(18th Century,Italian),and Giovanni Paolo Panini("Capriccio with Roman Ruins,Christ by Pool of Bethesda",18th Century Neoclassical). I also appreciated fine Old Master Paintings with secular subject matter by Bedoli Mazzola(Italian Renaissance Portrait),Vincente Catena(Italian Renaissance Portrait),Jacob Jordaens(Flemish Baroque,"Judgement of Paris),and Bartolome Murillo("Portrait of Gentleman",Spanish Baroque).I also fine ceramic work by Andrea Della Robbia("Saint John The baptist",Italian Renaissance). The Lowe Art museum has a very appealing atmosphere.Currently,it is free of charge.
