Little Woodham and its collection

Little Woodham, also known as 'The Living History Village of Little Woodham' or 'The Seventeenth Century Village', is a living museum that offers a unique experience of life in a rural village during the mid-17th century. It provides an immersive experience where visitors can step back in time and explore the daily life, trades, and crafts of the period.

World's Only 17th Century Replica Pottery Kiln

One of the unique features of Little Woodham is its 17th century replica pottery kiln, the only one of its kind in the world. It has been carefully reconstructed using the same materials and techniques used in the 17th century. This offers visitors a rare opportunity to see how pottery was made during this period.

17th Century Forge Experience Days

Little Woodham offers frequent '17th Century Forge Experience' days. During these events, visitors have the opportunity to spend a day working in a 17th century coal forge under the guidance of Little Woodham's blacksmith. This experience allows visitors to recreate 17th century iron work and learn traditional techniques and skills using steel and wrought iron, while also examining real 17th century examples.
