Liberty Science Center

Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium

In December 2017, the Liberty Science Center opened the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium. This 400-seat facility features a dome that is 100 feet in diameter and an 89-foot diameter screen. The planetarium was named after Jennifer Chalsty, a benefactor who contributed $5 million towards the cost of construction. Visitors can enjoy a variety of shows and presentations in this state-of-the-art facility.

Jennifer Chalsty Center for Science Learning and Teaching

The Jennifer Chalsty Center for Science Learning and Teaching, which opened in July 2007, is a 20,000-square-foot facility that extends over the entire former Invention Floor of the Liberty Science Center. It houses six laboratories, a 150-seat theater, and other resources for teachers and students. This center provides a space for educators to upgrade their science teaching skills and for students to participate in science exploration programs.
