The Lechner Museum in Ingolstadt is a unique institution dedicated to the work of renowned steel sculptor Alf Lechner. Opened on February 20, 2000, the museum offers visitors a deep dive into Lechner's artistic journey and his significant contributions to the world of steel sculpture.

Exhibitions at the Lechner Museum

Spanning an area of approximately 2,200 m², the Lechner Museum provides ample space for showcasing Lechner's work. The basement of the museum was home to the room installation "Eisenmeer WV 588", an impressive piece consisting of 51 steel blocks. The upper floor of the museum hosts changing exhibitions, offering visitors a chance to explore the wide range of Lechner's work.
