The Notre-Dame de Lamourguier is home to an impressive collection of over 1,700 archaeological artifacts. These artifacts were transferred between 2017 and 2018 to the future regional museum of ancient Narbonne, known as Narbo Via. Here, they will be displayed alongside other archaeological treasures from the city, providing a comprehensive view of the region's rich history.
The Notre-Dame de Lamourguier, rebuilt in the 13th century, is a stunning example of southern Gothic architecture. The church is specifically of Languedocian and Catalan style, characterized by a wide single nave. This is covered by a simple frame supported by six masonry diaphragm arches, showcasing the architectural prowess of the period.
