Langonnet Abbey, a former Cistercian abbey, is situated in the municipality of Langonnet in the Morbihan department, Brittany region, in France. It is located approximately 32 km north of the city of Quimperlé and 6 km east of Langonnet, on the banks of the Ellé River near a Roman road. This location offers a picturesque setting for visitors to explore the historical site.
From the medieval period of the Langonnet Abbey, only the Gothic, cross-ribbed, two-columned chapter house from the 13th century remains. This structure opens onto the cloister with a door flanked on both sides by two Gothic windows with leaf capitals. This preserved architectural feature provides a glimpse into the abbey's past and is a point of interest for visitors.
