The Konya Archaeological Museum is a state-run archaeological museum located in Konya, Turkey. It was established in 1901 and has been relocated twice before settling in its current location in 1962. The museum is one of eight state-owned museums in Konya and is situated in the interior of the city, accessible via narrow lanes on Sahip Ata Caddesi.
The Konya Archaeological Museum showcases a wide range of exhibits from various historical periods. These include sarcophagi and other antiquities from the ancient city of Çatalhöyük, as well as artifacts from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods. The artifacts consist of ceramic ware, stone and bronze wares, ornaments, and inscriptions.
The Konya Archaeological Museum is home to several exhibition halls, each dedicated to a specific historical period. Among these are the Pre-Historic Hall, which houses antiquities from the Neolithic period, and the Iron Age Hall, which displays exhibits from the Iron Age. These exhibits include painted and other types of pottery in various shapes, as well as figurines from Urartu.
