From 1863 till 1980 the Van Bergen family operated a bell foundry and manufactured fire engines in a monumental building in the heart of Heiligerlee. The museum shows all aspects of the art of casting bells and carillons, a wide range of historic bells and tower clocks. Visitors may try their hand at playing on a real carillon.
