The Kayseri Archaeology Museum is situated in the Melikgazi district of Kayseri. The construction of the museum began in 1965 and it was officially opened to the public in June 1969.
The museum is established on a plot with a garden of 8704 square meters and features a functional area of 580 square meters spread over two floors. The museum comprises two exhibition halls, a corridor, work rooms, and a storage area.
The first exhibition hall of the museum houses painted and unpainted ceramic and marble artifacts from the Old Bronze Age, as well as works from the Assyrian Trade Colonies Era. The second hall displays works from the Phrygian, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods.
