Currently, Kaleideum operates two locations, providing a variety of experiences for visitors. Kaleideum Downtown, formerly known as The Children's Museum of Winston-Salem, and Kaleideum North, previously SciWorks, each offer unique exhibits and programs. This allows visitors to choose the location that best suits their interests or even visit both to get the full Kaleideum experience.

Exploring Kaleideum North

Kaleideum North, situated at 400 West Hanes Mill Road in Winston-Salem, is a vast space dedicated to exploration and learning. The location boasts a 30,000 square foot building filled with exhibits, a 15-acre environmental park, and a planetarium. This provides a wide range of activities and experiences for visitors of all ages.

Exhibits at Kaleideum Downtown

Kaleideum Downtown is home to a variety of permanent and rotating exhibits. These exhibits offer a range of experiences, from interactive play areas to educational displays. The rotating exhibits provide fresh and exciting content for repeat visitors, ensuring there is always something new to discover.

Experiences at Kaleideum North

Kaleideum North offers a diverse range of exhibits and experiences. Visitors can explore the wonders of the universe in the planetarium, delve into the world of physics at PhysicsWorks, or encounter live animals at BioWorks. The museum also features HealthWorks, a human biology exhibit, KevaWorks, a KEVA Planks build area, and Mountains to Sea, a natural history exhibit. Additionally, nature trails and barnyard and garden learning areas provide outdoor exploration opportunities.
