The Bass Mansion, also known as Brookside, is a historic structure located at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It serves as an administrative building for the university. The mansion was the private residence of industrialist John Henry Bass from 1902 to 1944. It was purchased by the Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1944, who relocated their college to the site. Since then, the mansion has served as a library and residence for the college.

Bass Mansion's Recognition

In 1982, the Bass Mansion, also known as Brookside, was added to the National Register of Historic Places. This recognition highlights the historical significance of the mansion and its contribution to the cultural heritage of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The mansion's unique architectural style and its rich history make it a notable landmark in the area.
