Jardin Majorelle (Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech)

Jardin Majorelle, located in Marrakech, Morocco, is a botanical garden that was designed by the French expatriate artist Jacques Majorelle in 1924. The Revival of Jardin Majorelle

In 1980, the renowned fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé took over the Jardin Majorelle. They founded the "Association for the Safeguarding and Radiance of the Jardin Majorelle", reacquired the workshop chalet and the garden, and restored and developed it. They increased the number of plant species in the garden from 135 to over 300, preserving the spirit of Jacques Majorelle.

The Museum of Islamic Art of Marrakech

The workshop of Jacques Majorelle was transformed into the Museum of Islamic Art of Marrakech by Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé. This museum exhibits their personal collection of Islamic art objects from the Maghreb, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
