The International Peace Gardens, located in Jordan Park in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a botanical garden that was conceived in 1939 and dedicated in 1952. This garden has a rich history and has welcomed numerous travelers from various countries over the years. It is under the direction of the Salt Lake Council of Women Past Presidents Council.
In the International Peace Gardens, each participating Utah-based nation group is given a plot to create a garden. These gardens feature native plantings, garden architecture, and statues of world peace leaders that are typical of the group's homeland and culture. This unique feature allows visitors to experience a taste of different cultures and their approach to peace and harmony through the medium of gardening.
The Peace Gardens currently represent the cultural diversity of 28 nations. This means that visitors can experience a wide range of cultures and traditions in one place. Each garden is unique and reflects the culture and heritage of the nation it represents, making the Peace Gardens a truly international experience.
