The Museo internazionale delle marionette Antonio Pasqualino is a cultural-historical and ethnographic museum in Palermo. The musuem holds the collection of the late Palermit surgeon Antonio Pasqualino. The Museo internazionale delle marionette is located at the Piazzetta Niscemi behind the west side of Piazza Marina. The museum focuses on the Sicilian puppet theater (opera dei pupi) declared by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage, as well as the internationally widespread phenomenon of puppet theater. The collection includes 3500 puppets from all over the world. Furthermore it features a reconstruction of a historical puppet theater.
