Homma Museum of Art

Collection at the Homma Museum of Art

The Homma Museum of Art houses a collection of approximately 2,500 objects. These include a Kamakura-period edition of Ise Monogatari and three other Important Cultural Properties, works by renowned artists such as Kanō Tan'yū, Nagasawa Rosetsu, Itō Jakuchū, and others, as well as Goryeo celadons, raku ware by Chōjirō, lacquerware, sculptures, and traditional Japanese dolls.

The Kakubu-en or "Dancing Crane" Gardens

The Homma Museum of Art is also home to the Kakubu-en or "Dancing Crane" Gardens, which is recognized as a National Place of Scenic Beauty. The design of the garden incorporates the view of Mount Chōkai, creating a harmonious blend of natural and man-made beauty.
