The Resenhof, located in Bernau-Oberlehen in the South Black Forest in the Waldshut district, is a historic Black Forest house that has been serving as a museum since 1977. This location offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich history and culture of the region.
In 1976, the municipality of Bernau acquired the farm and established the Holzschneflermuseum in 1977. Since then, the museum has been open to the public, offering visitors a chance to learn about the traditional wood carving practices of the region.
With the support of the Biosphere Reserve South Black Forest, the municipality of Bernau in the Black Forest implemented a new concept for the Resenhof in 2019. The newly designed Resenhof local history museum was reopened to the public in 2020, offering a refreshed and modern perspective on the region's history.
