Historic Train Station and its collection

Historic Train Station
Source

The Louveira Train Station holds a significant place in history as it was the first railway station built and inaugurated by the Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro (CPEF). This event took place on March 31, 1872, marking a milestone in the development of the railway system in the region.

Electrification and Preservation of the Louveira Train Station

In the early 1920s, the Companhia Paulista took a significant step in modernizing its operations by electrifying its trunk line between Jundiaí and Campinas. As part of this process, a substation named Francisco de Monlevade was built near the Louveira station. This substation, along with the station, is now a preserved site, offering a glimpse into the past.

Future Plans for the Louveira Train Station

The Louveira Train Station is part of the regional trains project of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos in its north axis. In the future, it will be served by the Intermetropolitan Train, which will depart from Francisco Morato. This service will include stops at the operational extension of line 7-Rubi, along with three other stations, providing a convenient transportation option for visitors.
