Currently, the Bath Historic District is recognized as a North Carolina Historic Site. It is under the jurisdiction of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and is commonly referred to as Historic Bath.
The Historic Bath site includes a visitor center that provides guided tours of the Bonner House and Palmer-Marsh House. Notably, the Palmer-Marsh House is also recognized as a National Historic Landmark.
In addition to the Bonner House and Palmer-Marsh House, visitors to the Historic Bath site can also tour the Van der Veer House and St. Thomas Episcopal Church. These sites add to the rich historical experience offered by the district.
