Visitors often appreciate the well-preserved interiors, particularly the ornate ballroom and the richly decorated living spaces. The museum provides insight into the city's industrial past and the lives of its most prominent residents. The garden surrounding the palace is often cited as a pleasant addition to the museum experience, offering a serene space for reflection after touring the interiors. However, some visitors suggest that more frequent maintenance of the outdoor areas would enhance the overall experience.
