The Henriette-Davidis-Museum, which was inaugurated in 1994 in Wetter - Wengern, is dedicated to showcasing the life and work of Henriette Davidis, the most famous German cookbook author. The museum provides an in-depth look into the author's life, her contributions to the culinary world, and her influence on German cuisine.
Since 2004, the Henriette-Davidis-Museum has been located in the Mühlchen, a half-timbered house dating back to 1801, the same year Henriette Davidis was born. This historic building adds to the charm and authenticity of the museum, providing a fitting backdrop for the exhibits.
The Henriette-Davidis-Museum is home to a collection of 700 books by Davidis, displayed across six rooms, each with a different theme. These rooms provide a glimpse into the Biedermeier era, offering visitors a chance to step back in time and experience the lifestyle of that period.
