It is home to the estate of the Usedom writer Hans Werner Richter, who gained fame as the initiator of the writers' association Group 47. The museum provides a unique insight into the life and work of this influential writer.

Exhibits at the Hans-Werner-Richter-Haus

The two-story Hans-Werner-Richter-Haus houses Richter's estate, including his study with the original typewriter and his library. Since the death of the writer and publicist Carola Stern in 2006, part of the exhibition is dedicated to her. This provides visitors with a unique opportunity to delve into the lives and works of these two influential writers.
