The museum's exhibition is divided into several sections, one of which is dedicated to the ancient city of Tharros. Founded by the Phoenicians at the southern end of the peninsula, Tharros was a flourishing urban center in the subsequent Punic and Roman eras. The section provides a comprehensive overview of the archaeological investigations conducted in the site over the past century.
In 2014, the museum added a new section dedicated to the Giants of Monte Prama. This section showcases the original sculptural complex from Monte Prama, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to explore this significant archaeological discovery.
